I haven’t actually travelled with Roli Ji yet, but I have attended a few Ek Sakoon events where she has conducted some incredibly interesting travel activities. And every time, I have come away learning something new. What really stands out about Roli Ji is her deep knowledge of destinations, especially the hidden locations that you would probably never discover through a regular tourist itinerary. She knows where you should go, where you should shop, where you should eat, where you can relax, where you can chill and, most importantly, how you can experience a destination beyond the usual tourist spots. One thing Roli Ji told me at one of her events really stayed with me. She asked me whether I considered myself a tourist, a traveller or an explorer, and very confidently told me, “You are a tourist!” 😄 And then she added that if I really wanted to become a traveller, I needed to travel with her. Honestly, activities like these are eye opening because they make you realise where you actually stand and how much more there is to discover. Roli Ji’s knowledge is not limited to travelling within India. She has an incredible understanding of international destinations as well, and the way she curates experiences shows that she genuinely understands the art of travel. I may not have travelled with her yet, but after everything I have experienced at Ek Sakoon, I can confidently say that when I do travel with Roli Ji, I know I’m going to discover a completely different side of the destination.
