Growth isn't easy. It doesn't ever seem to be. It occurs when you move beyond what you know—when you do things that frighten you, challenge you, or make you question yourself.
I still recall the initial time I drove in heavy rain on Shaheed Path. There was a visibility of nearly zero. My hands clung to the wheel more than ever. Each and every part of me yearned to stop. To turn back. To wait it out. But somewhere deep within, a small voice urged: "Keep going." That day, I learned an important lesson: growth happens when you lean into discomfort, not away from it.
The same lesson has repeated itself in my business. Running my home bakery in Lucknow, I've learned the most when I've said "yes" to things that terrified me. Attending networking events, trying new marketing tactics, doing tricky custom orders—none of them was a breeze at first. But every time I pushed up against that discomfort, I walked away stronger, more confident, and more capable.
Growth begins where comfort finishes. It begins in the messy, unclear, a bit frightening places. And though it's easy to remain in familiar, comfortable space, it's through those tiny jumps into unease that change occurs—both in business and life.
