Few years back Lucknowites specially bicycle lovers got cycle tracks constructed all over the city but to our utter surprise they were faulty in designs due to concrete polls surrounding the lane.
The cycle tracks were never fully operational and created great mess and burden.
Nowadays due to heavy encroachment the cycle tracks are taking there last breath.

Heavy congestion of traffic makes it impossible to ride a bicycle in Lucknow.

The civic sense and driving etiquette are long forgotten. We can say it's utterly dangerous to ride a bicycle in
the city nowadays.

In foreign countries bicycle tracks are cushioned and four wheelers pay due respect to there lanes.

In Netherlands, mode of transportation is bicycle.
People have different bicycles for different purposes where as in our city people have different cars for different purposes.

I wish for a day that in near future when civic authorities plan an expansion of city they should consider bicycle as a major mode of transport.
