Beginnings are intimidating. They're like standing at the precipice of the unknown, wondering if you'll fall again. But with years, I've realized that starting over is not weakness—it's strength.
There have been many times in my bakery career when I wanted to give up. A failed recipe after hours of hard work, an order that was cancelled at the very last minute, or those times when tiredness questioned my decision to start in the first place. In those times, quitting would have been easier. But each time I decided to start over—whether it was rewriting a recipe, posting on social media after being quiet for weeks, or simply waking up the next morning with renewed energy—I learned something lovely: beginnings hold magic.
Starting over is a sign that you haven't given up. It's a sign that you trust yourself enough to have one more attempt. And that "one more attempt" is usually the turning point you never saw coming.
Life will knock you down—it always will. But if you do have the heart to get back up, to reboot, to begin again, you give yourself the gift of potential. And sometimes that's all it takes to build something better than what you had before.
