We tend to get patience mixed up with waiting. But actual patience isn't sitting around—it's believing in the process when things don't work out for you.

When I opened my bakery in Lucknow, I dreamed big. I envisioned being overwhelmed with orders, producing perfect cakes, and having a humming business overnight. Reality was different. Orders dripped in gradually, my frosting cracked more times than I care to admit, and my social media updates hardly reached anyone. Every fiber of my being craved fast results, but life continued to instruct me to slow down.

Patience appeared as practice. Every time I baked again following a failed attempt, I was accumulating resilience. Every time I posted without gaining much engagement, I was creating a foundation for consistency. Every quiet week afforded me the opportunity to learn, experiment, and refine what I was doing.

Now that I look back, I can understand how those slow seasons weren't failures—those were preparations. If all of that had occurred immediately, I wouldn't have grown strong enough to bear what comes with growth.

Patience is not weakness. It's a decision. It's the courage to continue showing up, believing that the seeds planted today will bloom when their time arrives.
