From as little as I remember, whenever someone has asked me about what I want to be or do when I grow up, I knew my answer, loud and clear. And no, it was never being a doctor, engineer, or even a scientist or baker.
However, lately, I have felt that I have lost direction. Between the rush of the world, people’s expectations, and the self-doubt that grew, I forgot that my answer to the question asked has been the same forever- to find my purpose in life, and more importantly, to live my life in peace. This goal had been so clear in my mind that I never chased money, materials things, or the ‘wants’ of daily life. And I was beginning to regret that.
Realising this regret is what made me stop. Stop before I lost myself completely.
Having developed an understanding that nothing in this world is free of cost and accepting it, I still have faith in my stand - life’s nothing if not peaceful.
And with that faith, I am beginning a new journey of rediscovering myself, re-trusting myself, and returning to myself.
From meditations and manifestations to daily swims and an ice bath, I am taking it one step at a time. And with this, I already feel closer to a peaceful life within. It might not show in my actions, expressions, thoughts, or words right now, but feeling the change instills gratitude automatically.
This piece, straight from the heart, is my way of expressing gratitude to the universe.
Oh, the ice bath? That’s a story for another time.
