🌱 How My Healthy Food Business Survived Covid :

We all have experienced a blur of fear and silence in the year 2020 . Streets that once were crowded suddenly stood empty. Cafés that had just opened their doors were forced to shut their doors . I remember walking past those shut doors wondering if my own dream would be next. But inside my kitchen, something different was happening .Since Nutriplate was one of the few healthy food cafes and health was the top priority of everyone that time , people trusted us and our lights stayed on and pots kept simmering, and hope found its way into every meal . The Struggle wasn’t easy. Every day brought a new challenge . Arranging groceries to buying vegetables to washing it outside and then leaving those items in the sun to disinfect - - was not easy .Customers were anxious, unsure if ordering food was safe. Yet I refused to let fear dictate the end of my story. The Turning Point for my business was , when we packed a small box of meal for a family in quarantine, and then for another family and many more . We realized something powerful: because all the orders
were through reference. At that point of time people didn’t just need food, they needed comfort and trust. They wanted meals that nourished their bodies and reassured their minds. That’s when we shifted focus: Immunity-boosting recipes became our priority.Hygiene wasn’t just a practice, it became our promise. Online platforms like Swiggy and Zomato became our lifeline to reach homes safely. Each order felt like a lifeline — not just for our business, but for the families who depended on us . Covid taught us that survival isn’t about being the biggest or strongest. It’s about being adaptable, empathetic, and deeply connected to your purpose. Our business survived because it wasn’t built on trends — it was built on the timeless need for health and nourishment. The Road AheadToday, as I expand into ready-to-cook packs and dream bigger, I carry those lessons with me. Our journey through Covid isn’t just a chapter in our business story — it’s the foundation of everything we do now. Every pack we prepare, every recipe we design, carries the resilience of those days when survival was uncertain but hope was alive. When I look back, I don’t just see the struggle. I see the families who trusted us, the meals that brought comfort, and the quiet strength that kept our kitchen alive. Covid may have shut many doors, but it opened our eyes to the power of purpose. And that purpose continues to guide us one healthy meal at a time.
