Few years back one of my known told me he is selected for kailash Mansarovar yatra conducted by Government of India.
For the first time it was going through Tibet, the roof of world.

When I heard this I requested him to narrate his experience to me and he happily agreed in doing so.

The total journey took a month to complete, they travelled 1500 kms, starting from Guwahti to Tibet, the autonomous region to Mansarovar and then back.

20 days acclemisation was done step by step as Tibet the autonomous region has a height of 15,000 feets and people staying in plains are not accustomed of these heights.

The once in a lifetime journey is divine and if your body permits, one should dare to take this holy trip.

Lake Mansarovar is a scared lake in Buddhism and Hindus.

Lord Shiva resta in Kailash Parvat.as said in Vedas & Purans.

Although he wrote that it was painful for body and mind and ultimate teat of one's endurance and faith.

The first batch consisted of 50 pilgrims and they travelled the journey by bus.

He was mesmerised with the scemeric beauty of Tibet the autonomous region.

He also gifted holy water of Gauri Kund from kailash Parvat.
