FILL IN TO YOUR CUP!!

“I make sure I make some time for me every day.” Does that sound selfish?
I used to think likewise….

But it really and truly isn’t – and then I read something that stuck with me and changed how I thought about it….

“It is not selfish to refill your own cup so as to pour into others”

I pointed out that if I am not functioning well and am not aligned, then the rest of the family and house suffers directly as a result. When we don’t take care of ourselves, our ability to take care of people we love, shatter (quite evident during the pandemic).

Promise yourself (and me if that helps!) that you’ll start taking time each day to do one thing you really want to do. No excuses, no if’s, no but’s. Just do it!

Here are some great Me Time ideas for inspiration – and remember – it doesn’t matter how small that time is, make it count.

- Unplug from technology.
- Take some time to exercise or meditate.
- Read a book or your favorite magazine.
- Book in time with your diary.
- Watch your favourite series or a movie.
- Extended shower or Paint your nails.
- Have a happy and hearty meal.
- Take a nap!
- Nurture your hobby!
- Take time to catch up with a friend.
