Finding Alignment – On the Mat and In Life

Iyengar Yoga is unique – it uses props like blocks, belts, chairs, and bolsters to help us achieve correct alignment, posture, strength, and flexibility without strain or injury.

These props remind me so much of the friends, mentors, and guides we have on our journey – personal or professional. Just like props support and correct our posture, the right people around us help us realign with our life’s purpose whenever we feel off balance.

I’ve experienced this deeply. Any physical discomfort I had, gradually eased with regular Iyenger yoga practice. Similarly, emotional or professional challenges feel lighter when we have mentors and well-wishers guiding us, showing us possibilities we don’t see ourselves.

Yoga isn’t just exercise. It is therapy, alignment, strength, flexibility, and surrender – all in one.

You don’t always need medicines or antidepressants to feel better. Sometimes, you need a practice that connects your mind, body, and purpose, and people who help you stay aligned with what truly matters.

Stay aligned. Stay grounded. Stay purposeful.
